Surveillance Video Footage Viewing Policy
Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to protect the privacy, safety, and confidentiality of all children, families, and staff at Young Innovators Academies while ensuring appropriate use of surveillance footage.
Policy Statement
Surveillance video footage is confidential and may only be viewed under controlled conditions. To protect the privacy of all children and families, access to video footage is strictly limited.
Viewing Requirements

Parents, family members, and employees areĀ not permittedĀ to view surveillance footage without theĀ Director present.

If the Director is not physically present,Ā written or verbal authorizationĀ must be granted by the Director prior to any footage being reviewed.

Surveillance footage may only be reviewed for legitimate school-related concerns, as determined by administration.
Prohibited Actions

Recording, photographing, or copyingĀ any portion of surveillance footage is strictly prohibited.

This includes the use of personal devices such as cell phones, tablets, or cameras.

This restriction is necessary because footage may contain images of other children, families, or staff members.
Violations and Consequences
Failure to comply with this policy may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to:

DisenrollmentĀ of a child if a parent or family member violates this policy

Written disciplinary action, up to and includingĀ termination, for employees who violate this policy
Confidentiality Commitment
Young Innovators Academies is committed to maintaining the confidentiality and dignity of all children and families. Surveillance footage is a security toolānot a public recordāand will be handled accordingly.
