Safety and Workers’ Compensation
1. Purpose
The purpose of this SOP is to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and children, promote proactive hazard prevention, and outline procedures for reporting unsafe conditions, workplace accidents, and workers’ compensation claims in compliance with applicable laws and insurance requirements.
2. Scope
This SOP applies to all employees, including administrators, teachers, assistants, substitutes, and support staff, while on duty or performing work-related activities.
3. Safety Expectations
3.1 All employees are required to:

4. Reporting Unsafe Conditions
4.1 Any unsafe condition, hazard, or potential safety risk must be reported immediately to the Director.
4.2 The Director will:

Document the concern and resolution
4.3 Failure to report unsafe conditions may result in disciplinary action.
5. Accident and Injury Reporting
5.1 In the event of any accident or injury—regardless of severity—the employee must:

Notify the Director immediately

Complete an incident report as soon as possible
5.2 Incident reports are required for:

Compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Insurance and workers’ compensation documentation

Internal safety monitoring and prevention efforts
5.3 Delayed or failure to report an accident may result in disciplinary action.
6. Workers’ Compensation Coverage
6.1 The organization provides workers’ compensation coverage for all employees in accordance with state law.
6.2 Workers’ compensation coverage includes:

6.3 Employees must cooperate fully with:

7. Disciplinary Action
