🎯 Purpose

To ensure that all teaching staff implement the Young Innovators digital curriculum with fidelity, aligning instruction with the organization’s educational philosophy, weekly learning objectives, and instructional quality standards. This SOP outlines expectations for lesson preparation, platform usage, documentation, and leadership oversight.


 

📌 Scope

This SOP applies to all lead teachers, assistant teachers, center directors, and instructional leaders using the digital curriculum platform at Young Innovators Academy.


 

🛠️ Procedures for Teaching Staff

1. Weekly Lesson Preparation

  • Log in to the digital platform by Friday at 4:00 PM each week to prepare for the following week.

  • Review weekly learning objectives, lesson plans, and listed materials.

  • Gather and organize classroom materials for the week ahead.

2. Curriculum Implementation

  • Deliver lessons as outlined in the platform, making adaptations only when developmentally appropriate and approved.

  • Ensure lessons align with the classroom’s age group, current theme, and daily schedule.

  • Incorporate active learning, intentional play, and child-led exploration as described in the lesson plans.

3. Documentation & Upload Requirements

  • Upload weekly documentation to the digital platform, including:

    • At least 3 photos showcasing implementation

    • 1 weekly reflection describing learning outcomes or classroom observations

    • Optional: Short video clips of classroom engagement or small group activities

  • All documentation must be uploaded by end of day Friday each week.


 

🧑‍💼 Director & Leadership Responsibilities

4. Monitoring and Accountability

  • Conduct weekly classroom walkthroughs to observe curriculum implementation.

  • Use observation tools to verify instructional quality and alignment with platform lessons.

  • Review backend reports to ensure teachers are logging in, preparing, and uploading documentation.

  • Identify and support any staff with low platform engagement or inconsistent implementation.

5. Coaching and Professional Development

  • Schedule monthly coaching sessions with each teacher to:

    • Review platform usage data

    • Reflect on classroom observations

    • Address curriculum challenges

    • Set implementation and growth goals

  • Provide targeted support, modeling, or co-planning for staff needing improvement.

  • 100% of teachers log in and prepare lessons by Friday afternoon.

  • Weekly documentation is uploaded and reflects lesson implementation.

  • Children engage in consistent, high-quality learning experiences aligned with curriculum goals.

  • Teachers receive regular coaching and support tied to curriculum usage.

  • Directors utilize data and walkthroughs to ensure consistency and fidelity across classrooms.
