🎯 Purpose

To establish clear expectations regarding staff appearance and uniform standards, promoting a professional image that reflects the values and brand of Young Innovators Academy while ensuring safety and consistency across the center.

📘 Policy Statement

All staff are required to maintain a clean, professional, and appropriate appearance while on duty. A uniformed team reinforces the school’s identity, enhances safety, and builds parent trust through consistent presentation.

👚 Uniform Guidelines

  • Staff must wear the approved Young Innovators Academy uniform shirt with appropriate, professional bottoms (e.g., slacks, knee-length shorts, or jeans without rips or distress).

  • Uniform shirts must be clean, wrinkle-free, and tucked in when appropriate.

  • Closed-toe shoes are mandatory at all times to ensure staff safety during active supervision and emergency response.

  • Personal grooming and hygiene must be maintained daily, including clean hair, nails, and overall neatness.

  • Hats, hoodies, or sunglasses are not permitted indoors unless approved for medical or religious reasons.

🎉 Spirit Fridays

  • On designated Spirit Fridays, themed or fun attire may be worn as approved by the Director.

  • Clothing must remain appropriate, comfortable for child interaction, and aligned with safety guidelines.

  • Staff should confirm participation themes in advance and ensure attire does not interfere with active supervision duties.

🛠 Enforcement

Failure to comply with the personal appearance policy may result in:

  1. A verbal reminder or written warning

  2. Requirement to return home to change into proper attire (unpaid)

  3. Further disciplinary action for repeated non-compliance
