Job Title: Grant Coordinator – Childcare
Job Summary:
The Grant Coordinator – Childcare will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of grant activities related to childcare programs. This includes researching and identifying potential grant opportunities, preparing and submitting grant proposals, and overseeing the implementation of funded projects. The Grant Coordinator will work closely with childcare program managers, administrative staff, and external stakeholders to ensure successful grant acquisition and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Grant Research and Identification:
Conduct thorough research to identify potential grant opportunities for childcare programs.
Stay informed about government, private, and foundation grants relevant to childcare services.
Proposal Development:
Prepare grant proposals, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and goals.
Collaborate with program managers and other relevant staff to gather information for proposals.
Write compelling narratives, budgets, and other required documentation for grant submissions.
Grant Submission and Compliance:
Submit grant proposals in a timely manner, adhering to all application requirements and deadlines.
Monitor and ensure compliance with grant guidelines, regulations, and reporting requirements.
Maintain accurate records of grant submissions, status, and outcomes.
Communication and Collaboration:
Act as a liaison between the organization and grantors, responding to inquiries and providing necessary information.
Collaborate with internal departments to gather data, statistics, and success stories for reporting purposes.
Attend relevant meetings, conferences, and workshops to stay informed about industry trends and funding opportunities.
Budget Management:
Work closely with the finance department to develop accurate and realistic budgets for grant proposals.
Monitor budget expenditures for grant-funded programs and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
Program Implementation:
Collaborate with program managers to ensure the successful implementation of grant-funded projects.
Track and report on the progress of programs, highlighting achievements and addressing any challenges.
Evaluation and Reporting:
Develop and implement systems for evaluating the impact and effectiveness of grant-funded programs.
Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports to grantors, showcasing program outcomes and success stories.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., social work, child development, nonprofit management).
Proven experience in grant writing and coordination, preferably in the childcare or education sector.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with childcare regulations, policies, and best practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software.
